Overall, I felt like this book read quite young, perhaps on the younger side of YA.

I wasn't much of a fan of the writing style, sadly. The dialogue felt too cheesy to me, and the writing gave off more telling than showing vibes. Furthermore, there were a lot of rhetorical questions the protagonist liked to ask herself, like "What is he going to teach me?", of which I also wasn't a fan of.

Thus, since I wasn't much of a fan of the writing style, I was less motivated to understand the world and how their powers worked. I didn't feel particularly inspired to pick it back up after putting the book down. However, if the writing style works for you, I think you would like the book!

I did get shocked towards the end for one of the plot points, which was good :)
